First-class trains carry you from Munich to Salzburg, Vienna, and Budapest, with lantern-lit markets, Glühwein, and centuries-old tradition along the way. The pace stays easy: guided walks and market time in each city, and the trains doing the work in between.

Salzburg
Travel by train to Salzburg for an Old Town walk, the Cathedral Square market, and Hohensalzburg Fortress reached by cable car.
Day 4
Salzburg at leisure
A free day with optional excursions to the Berchtesgaden salt mines or Sound of Music locations, plus evening market time.
Day 5
Vienna
Continue by train to Vienna for a leader-guided walking tour, the Rathausplatz Christmas Market, and Christmas punch among the stalls.
Day 6
Vienna at leisure
A free day to visit Schönbrunn Palace and explore more than a dozen Christmas markets across the city.
Day 7
Budapest
Arrive in Budapest by train for an orientation walk, the Vörösmarty Square market, and mulled wine with Hungarian pálinka.
Day 8
Budapest · Departure
A farewell breakfast and a leisurely departure as the journey comes to a close.
